May 11th, 2009I hope all the moms out there enjoyed their special day. Mother or not… everyone can celebrate it for one reason or another.
I had a very good Mother’s Day… I spent the entire weekend with my family. My son made me a bracelet (from school), and a couple cards. I’m going to scan the fill-in-the-blank card he made me. According to this card, if he had a million dollars, he would buy me a house (yup… I’ve drilled that into his head since he was young! Go to school, study hard, finish college, and buy mama a house!). And I guess I look my “prettiest” when I do my make-up (I was hoping for “all the time” but then he’d be lying). And my favorite thing to do is… “go on paperbreezy.com”. Yes, that’s exactly what he wrote. I thought it was so funny…
I love Mother’s Day! If you ask me, Mother’s Day should be EVERYDAY!

I thought this was super cute… making fun of how HIGH taxes are these days (especially in California)!
I don’t remember how I came across this company/blog… but I’m glad I did. Go check out BumbleInk. They are in the stationery business. Their cards are modern, hilarious & appealing at the same time. They are definitely a new fave of mine! =)

Coming together…
May 4th, 2009Over the weekend, I was supposed to work on my papers & study for my test. But I DIDN’T!
Instead, I made a card for a friend (didn’t take a picture of it before I sent it off). Nothing too fancy… but I wrote super neat. Maybe he’ll let me take a picture of it one of these days.
I also started re-designing the blog/website. Nothing is set in stone yet. I’m still playing around with colors & fonts & layouts… the next few weeks will be LONG & stressful for me (work, FINALS & business!). But for now, you’ll have to settle for the “under construction” splash page I made. And again, let me re-iterate that it’s not done yet!
(But thank you for your patience!)
But here are some highlights of the week(-end):
- The Pacquiao-Hatton fight was AWESOME!
- My son got the game ball for T-ball on Saturday! He’s an awesome shortstop! =) (He also got his team pictures… and was signing his trading cards with a silver pen! He thought he was so cool cause EVERYONE–in my family–wanted one! He felt like a real celeb! Hopefully that will be his motivation to keep practicing & become a ball player ONE day!)
- I saw a bunch of movies: Bolt, Bedtime Stories, Notorious, Nights in Rodanthe, Doubt, Seven Pounds. (6 OTHER reasons why I didn’t finish my papers or study!) Maybe one day, I’ll post a review on them… when I have the time!
Starting over… AGAIN!
